Spark Connected and Infineon Technologies Unveil 500W Wireless Charging Module

Spark Connected and Infineon Technologies have jointly launched the Yeti 500W wireless charging module, a 500W wireless charging system designed for industrial applications such as machinery, robots, and electric vehicles. The module boasts over 95% efficiency, robust misalignment tolerance, compatibility with various battery types, and incorporated safety features, including over-voltage and overcurrent protection. Infineon’s PSoC™ 63 Bluetooth® Low Energy MCU and CoolGaN™ products enhance its efficiency and control.

The Yeti 500W and other systems like it will be an important tool for factory and warehouse automation, a large potential market for wireless power technology. The Yeti could make the autonomous recharging of robots and vehicles much easier where deployed, however, it will be in direct competition with offerings from other companies including WiTricity, Wiferion and WiBotic. SAR Insight & Consulting covers the wireless power market across many applications including industrial in its Wireless Power and Charging Technologies service.
