New Peugeot Inception concept revealed at CES 2023

Peugeot revealed its new Inception concept at CES 2023 based on the STLA Large platform from parent company Stellantis. The new concept includes many new features that can be expected on future Peugeot cars and comes with the promise of the complete electrification of the Peugeot range. The Inception is also claimed to be able to charge 18 miles of range in 1 minute and 93 miles in just 5 minutes by making use if inductive wireless charging technology.

The inclusion of inductive vehicle charging in the Inception concept is a sign of interest from the Stellantis group that has around an 8% share of the global automotive market and approximately 5% of the global EV market; Stellantis encompasses Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS, Fiat, Jeep, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, and Vauxhall among others. A push towards wireless charging by a group of this size is a good indication for the future of wireless vehicle charging as the Inception is intended to inspire future models from 2025.
